Abstract


This review analyzes the role of the Agro-Food Research Center (CRAA) in agricultural waste management and the promotion of circular economy principles in the agri-food sector. Agricultural and agro-industrial waste represents a major environmental and economic challenge. Circular economy approaches aim to transform these wastes into valuable resources such as biofertilizers, bioenergy, natural colorants and industrial inputs. The study highlights the strategic role of CRAA in research, innovation and the development of sustainable solutions for waste valorization. Strengthening collaboration between researchers, farmers and industries can significantly contribute to sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.
